Bring Priestley Home

I am in need of help in retaining a lawyer for a child custody move out of state case. I have a sound case so I believed that I would be ok handling it without an attorney which I can not afford due to moving expenses. I was told by the father that I could go and that he in fact would move too and the week before we had plans I was served with papers. I have a ton of evidence and a very strong case but due to legal technicalities from my lack of legal expertise and the very good attorney the father's family retained for him I was run over and the court took an LCM recommendation that Priestley stay here with his father.  The deciding factor was the admittance and acknowledment by both parties and witnesses of physical abuse and the fact that the father does not nor has he ever financially supported our son.  These facts were seen as negative comments towards the father, in which no one had spoke negativly of me, this led the LCM to the conclussion that the father respected the bond between Priestley and myself more than I respect the bond between the father and Priestley. How the LCM came to this conclussion I have no idea and am absolutely confused due to it not making any logical sence to me whatsoever. In light of this the court went with the recommendation which was in favor of Priestley remaining in our hometown. The father has never initiated or involved himself in the goings on of a child. I have facilitated almost every life, child, peer, new experience Priestley has ever had. I am the sole supporter of myself and two children my youngest has a rare migraine disorder and He and I both heavily rely on the health insurance my employment with the USPS provides for all of us. I also do not believe my children should be seperated. I decided to move to Colorado due to the amount of support there I have verses anywhere else. My boyfriend is currently there working, when the father said we could go we rented a three bedroom apartment with onsite daycare and had Priestley accepted for a spot at an amazing Montessori school. The father has always lived in a one bedroom house in which my child does not have a bed or appropriate toys or books. He is being thrown into an unsocialized, electronics addicted environment which does not support the growth of a well rounded individual.
