Campaign Story
Six-year-old Joy was found abandoned, lying on the ground and having seizures at a train station in an Asian city by a small NGO, who had her admitted to hospital for investigations. Medical tests confirmed that she is a non-verbal autistic and epileptic girl, requiring a variety of medicines three times daily as well as regular hospital attendance for monitoring procedures. Moreover she requires a 24-hour carer as she can't do anything by herself except eating. Joy loves music, dancing and long walks but she can't learn anything.
Now fast forward 20 years, Joy's condition hasn't improved at all and she still heavily relies on expensive medications to stay alive as well as on 24-hour care. She seems to have the IQ of a 1 year old but is always very joyful.
We wish to start a fund for Joy for the provision of a 24-hour carer at GBP500 per month and hope to raise enough funds for the next 10 years.
We are looking for people with a big heart for the poor and disabled who, for no fault of their own, urgently need help. Your generous partnership will be greatly appreciated as we seek to provide for Joy's current and future care. Our target is to raise GBP60,000.
Please support our campaign.
Thank you and be blessed!
