Hi there! Thanks for visiting my fudraiser!

I am am trying to do the impossible and raise $4000 in one week. What could I need $4000 in a week for? Well let me tell you... (believe me, it's a great cause)

When I was 14, my mother died from breast cancer after a nearly 3 year battle. I handled it ok, but my father did not, since then, he and I haven't had the best relationship. Right now, I live with him and my younger brother (18), but not for long because he received orders to move to Mississippi (he's active duty military). My father has informed my brother and I that we are not welcome. Neither of us have jobs or money.

Since my mom died, I was left to take care of a lot of things like making dentist appointments, signing up for school. My dad was pretty absent. I was forced to move across country right in the middle of high school. Soon after, I decided I needed to get through it now, so I took a few extra classes and graduated a year early. After which I attended a local community college, both because I needed to save money and because I did not get cleared for graduation with enough time to fill out university applications. Now, I attend University of Phoenix online. It's great because I have an open schedule so it will not interfere with me working. And it also gives me freedom to relocate.

Only problem is that jobs are scarce. I worked for Advance Auto Parts for about a year before they cut my hours down to 7/wk. Then I started working at Malloy Mazda, who later laid me off because of poor company finances. I have applied to well over 300 jobs, but no one will hire me. I'm afraid this is due to the fact that most applications are completed via an online form and my personality isn't given the chance to shine through.

So I am in quite the pickle.
-Jobless

-Penniless

-Homeless (about to be)

I need to find an apartment quick, but my credit is not doing so hot thanks to my age, and repetitive loss of occupation.

So I got creative... I needed to end up in Colorado because that is where the school I wish to attend (Colorado State University) is located.

Desperate, I stayed up late to try to conjure up a plan. And then I found Vail.

For those of you that don't know, Vail is a well-recognized ski resort in Colorado, they pay their employees well, and even better- they offer employee housing, which is great because it will keep me from having to submit to a credit check. So I applied, and just a few hours later, they called to tell me I got the job!!! This is great news, but they wanted me to start in 2 days.

Two days is a little short notice when moving from Virginia to Colorado, but I am determined!!

So I'm here, asking, begging, pleaing for y'alls help. If I could raise $4000 I could basically secure my future. It would help me move to Colorado, get my temporary dream job, and put me in a better position to attend the college I want.

Every dollar will help, so please donate! I have to be out of my house by January 1, 2014! But I need to get to Colorado before November 22nd to get this job! Please help
