Single mother of 5 is seeking assistance with start up company so that she may earn to give her kids a home and good schooling.

I have newly registered Dragonfly Stationary Suppliers and intend to provide stationary sales at a lower price than retailers. I would also like to apply for government tenders however I require the funding for the purchase of stock.

More about me and my family.

I am 33 years old with 5 children, aged 3, 5, 8, 10 & 12. We are currently living with my parents and my 3 brothers in a 3 bedroom home. Myself and the kids share one of the bedrooms.

My goal is to be able to have a successful operating company and by June 2018 be able to move into a home (rented obviously for now) so that my kids can be more comfortable and enjoy the things they are supposed to.

Please see above.

2 years later I would like to let you know where myself and my family are.

My name is Genevieve. I am 37 years old. I am a single mother of 5. I am not innocent however I am not perfect. I have recovered from sexual abuse, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, domestic abuse and I have never been able to complete my studies or even achieve my dreams and goals i had as a teenager about to leave school. I had to give up my studies because I fell pregnant and my father wouldnt pay for me to complete them. However, i dont blame anyone for where I am, I chose to give up my career to be a mom as my husband at the time offered to provide. I can definitely say that I love my children more than anything in life. We as a family have been through many trials and tribulations together however I believe that because our love is so strong for each other we have overcome many obstacles. We have been through domestic abuse and drug related violence. My kids have witnessed their father beat their mother, beat the dog, smash the windows etc. But we kept strong and we left the abuse with broken promises from my family but this didnt break us.

and my kids were very close until last year when our family was torn apart. Because I chose a man who many might have felt was not a good man, my family decided to intervene and try get the children removed from my care. I won't say he was a perfect man with no faults but he did everything in his power to support us financially. There was a lot of fights with my family because of him and my family contact child welfare. After investigations, there was nothing serious enough that was found to remove my children from my care.

But after this, I had to get my children away from the people who were really abusing them. My daughters would be called ugly demoralizing names, my son get smacked in the face or locked out the house. Yes, I wasn't around when this was happening as I would spend most of the day out trying to make money. Sometimes I would sell scrap metals, sometimes I would do invoices and quotations for a pleasant lady a few roads away, sometimes I would go to the bar to play 8 ball pool to win some money winning games, and sometimes I would be with a man in exchange for cash. Putting it in a decent way. So after trying to find a home or some living option and failing I decided to send them to their aunt in Cape Town. While they were there the plan was to rehabilitate myself and better my financial position so that I may provide a healthy home for my blessings. It was only for a year and they would return. However, my blessings were not coping and experiencing severe separation anxiety. So in early march my sister-in-law and I starting planning me fetching the kids. I didn't have any money, no job, and noone to ask for this money. Flights from cape town for 6 was priced at just over R5000 excl. my flight to cape town. I tried everyone i knew, i even sold cakes. I even went to my daughters father asking for help. I finally managed to get the money and when booked. Covid Lock down started. Our tickets were cancelled until further notice. My father and brother decided to manipulate this situation by using an ex family member with money and power(contacts in high places). Social services were contacted and I was believed to have abandoned my blessings. What made it also bad was that when my blessings left me in durban their physical health was not good. We all had nits and lice and we all were undernourished. But this was not explained that it was due to our living conditions which was at the home of my father. The place they lived before going to cape town. There are still bed bugs, birds lice, borers etc in the house. The home has bad maintenance and upkeep and we lived like this for many years. Myself and my 5 blessings in one bedroom on two 3/4 beds. And my father and brothers highlighted all my mistakes, all my bad traits, all my wrong doings. All these which were over a period of years were made to seem like it was all what I currently did. So social services felt that I was not fit enough to care for my children. This is where it hurts the most. Only my daughters were manipulated to not want to be with me. Social services investigated and found that my drug abuse and current status in society was not good for my girls but okay for my boys, they weren't questioning my care for my 3 boys only my 2 girls. And now we have a separated family who used to do everything together and who loved each other and shared everything. The man who didn't care for his daughter's for all their life is now the primary care giver and I have no access to gem. We were allowed Sunday that the boys see their sisters but they have only had 3 visits in 6 months. So this campaign is now to assist me to better our living situation and also to help with my boys uniforms and stationery besides food. I also want to fight for my girls legally and should I reach my goal with your help, the money will enable legal representation. Currently I am unemployed, but I do have a few close friends that help with food during the month. Some even assist with cash for clothing or any needs either of us might have. My hope is that I can use the money to start a small delivery service and tuckshop, as well as legal fees, and provide towards my boys educational needs. So I thank you in advance for your donations and I invite you to contact me should you require any clarity on anything. Transparency and honesty is my promise. My family is all I live for. My blessings is my family. And my blessings are my 5 children.
