My story begins six years ago when I began working at a bridal boutique in my area. As a young 21 year old at the time, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life but as soon as I started working at the bridal boutique I realised how much I loved working with and being surrounded by elegant bridal and bridesmaid gowns, more importantly I loved being able to play a small part in each of our clients' big day. I made up my mind that this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. After a year, I decided to head back to university and focus on my studies full time, but the hope of starting my very own bridal boutique continually lingered in the back of my mind. Now aged 25, I graduated earlier this year but was quickly disappointed by the lack of positive responses to most of the vacancies I applied for. I'm a big believer in following your dreams and soon realised that I need to follow my dream of being an entrepreneur and starting my own bridal boutique and creating jobs. That dream brought me here as I don't have the funds to start my business and have tried every possible option to begin.

I plan on starting my business from home with the idea of becoming a stockist for a local brand called Infinity dress (website:infinitydress-southafrica.com/infinity-dresses/) from whom I can purchase ten bridesmaid dresses. The idea would be that clients can make an appointment to fit any dress and if they like a specific one I can then order it for them in their size. I would also like to have an online store where clients can purchase as well. My plan is to start small - from home, where I wouldn't have to worry about rental fees - then once I've saved up enough, I can then move to a venue suitable for a bridal boutique at a cost affordable enough for the business.

I would like to give a break down as to how funds will be used:

*R7 800 for merchandise (including dresses, clothes railings, hangers, clothes steamer and garment bags)

*R2 200 for advertising/marketing

*R2 000 for business registration

As I'm a blogger in my spare time, I created my own blog using Wix and will do the same for the business website. I also already have a logo designed for the business as well.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not have a Paypal account and therefore cannot receive donations via Paypal.

If you have any questions about my business, please feel free to contact me on my business e-mail: [email protected]

Thank you all for taking the time to read and donate. God bless you!
