Place of project implementation :   Commune Mbalmayo is located 48 km south of the capital Yaounde. This is the main entry areas of the Southern Region door and is accessed by paved with National # 2 from Ebolowa and National # 9 by Sangmélima . It is part of a set of six administrative units of Nyong and So'o , with the particularity that it is the capital of the said Department . The Commune was established by Decree No. 431 of 31 August 1950 . It consists of two (02) groups and twenty eight (28) villages. It is limited : ? In the North -East by the Municipality of Mfou , ? In the Northwest by the Municipality of Bikok , ? In the South by the Municipality of Mengueme , ? In the South -East by Common Nkolmetet . Its area is 650 km ². The population is estimated at 69,701 inhabitants in the urban area with 48,950 ( 70%) and 20,751 in the rural area (3rd RGPH ) at a density of 107 hbt/km2 .    Project Rationale  In the Nyong and SO'O and particularly District Mbalmayo Cameroon, agriculture occupies approximately 70% of the labor force and remains the backbone of the national economy. While Cameroon has enough to eat , he is no less that remains poorly nourished. This situation is explained by the fact that :  The poultry market is held by a minority of poultry farmers , which strenna higher prices on the market and making the purchasing power of lower riparian average favoring the non presence of animal proteins in our menus . This project therefore aims to increase poultry production in the county and contributed to a better nutrition of the local population .   Overall objective: Reducing the deficit in animal protein population while creating income-generating activities in the municipality of Mbalmayo   specific Objectives Practical objectives : - Insert 500 pullets of two ( 2) months in 02 barns capacity 250 hens each. - Produce daily consumption of 392 eggs with a workforce of 500 laying hens (assuming a mortality rate of 2 % and a brood of 80% from the sixth month of age) , for a period of 12 months ( corresponding to 18 months of age for hens laying eggs ) .   Social objectives : - Former two low - couriers driving bands laying hens and management of a poultry improved type . - Initiate a year 50 people to the practice of poultry semi improved kind . - Create permanent and temporary jobs for young people in the town of Mbalmayo (low - couriers, dealers eggs and chickens reformed ) .   environmental objectives - Provide good quality manure , agricultural producers Department manure from the mixture of litter and manure from poultry barns whose output is scheduled every 45 days .   economic objectives - Ensure the operating expenses of poultry (food, health and technical monitoring , water, wages of low -mails , etc .... ) . - Allow the flow of the poultry unit , with revenue from the marketing of eggs collected and hens reformed .   activities: - Construction of two ( 02) poultry Capacity 250 layers and a store ; - Equipment barns in waterers, feeders, nest boxes , sprayers , as well as small equipment necessary for the conduct of an improved house; - Insert 500 pullets ( future layers ) of two (2) months in both (02) poultry ; - Ensuring the supply of 500 pullets for three (03 ) months and 500 hens for twelve ( 12) months; - Provide technical and sanitary supervision of poultry by an engineer specializing in tropical poultry ; - Train Low - couriers, driving bands laying hens and 50 people initiate the practice of poultry type semi improved; training will be provided by an engineer livestock ; - Harvesting eggs laid daily. - Train Low - couriers to the proper management of production storage . - Train sellers marketing the production. - Commercializing production.
