Cathy married my brother in 2012. A civil wedding with a very humble celebration in Cathy's hometown-- Cavite, attended by few family members. Cathy and I were never really close as we hardly see each other at home as both of us keep a full-time job. I just know that my mom feels so blessed to have a daughter-in-law as wonderful as Cathy. Talk to my mom about in-laws and she would be the first to brag about hers, As she would always say, "Im so lucky to have a daughter-in-law like Cathy....". From a far, i know Cathy to be this courageous young lady with a "bring it on" attitude. Dont get fooled by her quiet and sweet front, this girl is a courageous fighter and this is why: It was early 2018 when we grew closer and also the year when my sister-in-law Cathy was diagnosed of stage 2 invasive mammary carcinoma or breast cancer and in that same year she had a total mastectomy to control and treat her cancer cells. 2-3 months passed, after a radionuclide whole body bone scan we found out that her breast cancer already metastasized to her bone.

From all that transpired, she had gone radiation, finished three phases of alternative medicine and bone therapy sessions to help and manage her pain and condition.

Most recently, her left eye seemed deformed and her oncologist has advised her to do an MRI to confirm her Brain Metastasis. We have scheduled the MRI and bone scan this Tuesday (Mar 3). We’ll edit for an update.

We are asking for any amount of donation to help us with her medical expenses.
