Hazel, 36, a sweet & loving mother of two (2) , a 7 and 2 yr. old boys, is now battling against her illness.

Year 2016, a month before her pregnancy for his 2nd son, she discovered a mass on her upper right breast. She hoped it would disappear upon giving birth but unfortunately it became worst. It became harder and bigger that made her finally decide to consult a doctor, then eventually underwent a biopsy only to find out that it is highly malignant. She and her supportive husband raised the amount of money needed and was immediately operated (MRM) including her lymph node in her armpit. After that, she was also advised for chemo and radiation for further treatment but during the work out new cyst was found out so she was once again referred for a surgery which is quite risky according to the doctor. Sad to say, the cyst was too hard, not movable and attached on her collar bone. With her situation, she didn't give up in finding other options which then she finally learned about Immuno theraphy thru infusion drip and IV push laser. She was advised to immediately undergo 21 sessions that cost P10,000.00 per session, and to complete this treatment it will cost her P210,000.00. In her first operation she already spent almost P300,000.00 with all the laboratories, medicines and doctor's fee. Aside from her previous expenses, she is still spending P1,000.00 a day for her herbal medicines, vegetables and fruits to prepare her physical condition with all the treatments she still needs to undergo. According to her, this is her greatest trial physically, emotionally and also financially. Despite her condition, she remained optimistic and faithful to God, her faith became stronger this time believing that God will never leave her alone in this battle. All their savings were spent even their multicab was sold just to finance her treatment. And this is the reason why I decided to help her through this because she once mentioned about her co-patient being financed by GoFundMe.

Hazel is one of my dearest & closest friends since we were in High School. We are best buddies in planning for our batch, from a simple Get Together especially for our High School Grand Alumni. After we graduated she entered in a convent and an orphanage as well, but for the love for her family she decided not to continue her calling instead she just did small charity acts and outreach programs that we both enjoyed to organize with our batchmates. It's just ironic this time and too sad for me to organize alone a fund raising for her medical treatment. But seeing and knowing that she is really fighting against her illness and trying all her best to be strong for her family, I am praying and hoping that this will really help her win this fight by supporting her financial needs thru GoFundMe and with the help of all the people willing to donate for her.

As of now she’s on her 4th session of her treatment, aside from her daily other expenses she immediately needs the remaining amount to complete her 21-session treatment. Her husband is now working as driver of one of her doctors instead of paying them for their professional fees.

Proverbs 19:17 "Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed."
