Brea’s Battle with Lupus

These past few weeks, Brea Louise Lopez Inso, 20, has been battling with one medical issue after another. It all started with sudden numbness of her right arm, confusion and trouble in speaking and a fever.. After immediately being rushed to the hospital, it was learned that it was due to a stroke. The stroke paralyzed the right side of her body and affected both her memory and speech. She had to stay at the hospital for further testing. It was found that she also had a blood clot on her brain and she developed pneumonia. It was suspected that all these complications were being caused by the autoimmune disease Lupus. With this disease, the body attacks itself. But they cannot determine what kind of Lupus she has obtain until they perform a test called LE PANEL (8) and IHC- PD- L1 (Expression). These tests cost a lot and they cannot perform it since medical expenses have been adding up.

Brea is a strong person but she is still in a very high risk situation. I hope we all come together and help our dear friend in any way possible to overcome this challenge.
