The jaguar is the largest cat on the American continent.

It has also been seen in the Pantanal and the Cerrado. In general, the jaguar suffers many threats from the human species and its activities. In the northeast, south and southeast of Brazil it was practically extinct. The extinction is due to predatory hunting and the destruction of the habitats of these animals.
