Xiah Caitlyn dela Mata was born in Bicol with the most severe case of apert syndrome.
Apert syndrome is a genetic disorder characterized by the premature fusion of certain skull bones (craniosynostosis). This early fusion prevents the skull from growing normally and affects the shape of the head and face. In addition, a varied number of fingers and toes are fused together (syndactyly).
Apart from Apert Syndrome, she has a cleft palate. Her both elbows are locked which limit her movements.
Despite her situation, Xiah continues to fight. She is now 8-month old but as she grows older, her situation gets worse. The family decided to bring her to Manila to have her treated. She has to undergo series of operation which will require huge amount of money. The initial surgery which costs Php 350,000 will be done on 3rd week of May. The family's savings would not be enough to fund the medication.
We humbly ask your assistance, any amount of donation would be very much appreciated. We will be forever grateful for your help.
