Brave Heleen

One year ago Heleen was diagnosed with Glioblastoma brain cancer. Most patients don’t survive beyond 18 months. She has been gracefully fighting to live and prove her doctors wrong. She has made it past a year with bravery and amazing results. Unfortunately her recent scans showed three more tumours, growing aggressively and impacting her life in a very real way. She has become bedridden and also started getting seizures, which makes it unsafe for her to be left alone.

Heleen was an exceptional business woman, but Covid-19 and her severe illness, forced them to sell their restaurant which was their only income. The financial impact of medical costs: treatments, medicines and essential equipment to deal with her diminishing physical abilities, have become too much.
