Brain Tumor Surgery for a Loving Wife and Mother

I am knocking on your kind hearts to please help us raise money for my mother's brain tumor surgery.

A recent brain MRI showed that she has a right cerebellopontine angle lesion which could primarily be a Schwannoma. We can't know for sure if it's benign or malignant unless we do the operation. We were given an estimated cost of 500,000 Philippine pesos or approximately $10,000 for the surgery, medicine, and professional fees.

It's an intermediate sized tumor. We were advised to observe for tumor growth and have another imaging after a few months. If there's slow/no growth then it's good, we’ll continue observing. But if it has fast growth, surgery is advised. Growth occurs in about 50% of patients. If she doesn't do surgery though, there is a big chance that she will lose her hearing eventually, with facial drooping and headaches. If she does decide to do surgery and they take out the whole thing, there's a less likely chance that it will reoccur. If they only partially remove it, usually happens in bigger tumors or if she waits for it to get bigger, then more likely it will reoccur. At this point, it would really give us peace of mind if we just have it removed while her hearing is still functional, headaches are mild, and facial features are intact and have the tumor tested if it's benign or malignant (hopefully not).

My mother is a God-fearing, loving, and nurturing soul. She is the eldest of 10 siblings but she gave up any form of career to be the main caregiver of my frail grandparents at home. My stepdad is the breadwinner and tries to cover all the basic household expenses with his minimum wage earnings.

The medical expenses are unfortunately something that we all cannot afford even if we pool all our incomes together.

We are praying day and night that our Almighty God would heal her or at least provide us the necessary means for the surgery but we would be eternally grateful as well for any financial aid that you can extend to our humble family.
