Bradley was diagnosed with a form of cancer in his back called Rhabdomayosarcoma, which is a muscular cancer. His first diagnoses was in 2013 when he was 9. His first back operation and radiation started in 2014. After battling for two years, he was cleared in November 2015 . Unfortunately, the cancer cells re-appeared in the remaining scar tissue in May 2016. By June 2016 Bradley had another 2 back operations and after spending several weeks in the hospital receiving radiation, he has begun a very radical chemo treatment. At the same time as the second diagnosis, his mother, Tanya, also lost her job. She has managed to find an alternative job but at a much lower salary than before. Daddy Richard is not working as Bradley needs care. Bradley still receives weekly chemo treatment which will last another year. We are raising funds for Bradley and his family to pay for any medical related costs, as well as to ensure that he and his three brothers have food, clothing, and shelter.

June 2018

Bradley is now on his road to recovery, this road being almost as hard as his journey through cancer.. Over the last 6 years Bradley had 3 back operations where they had to remove parts of his core muscles in his back, over 20 sessions of radiation and countless chemotheraphy. This unfortunately has left lots of damage to my boys body. His spine is quite bent due to slow growth in certain areas of the spine and sadly it's going to continue bending as he continues growing up. He's had to leave mainstream high school and he is just not coping with the amount of work already lost and also the extremely heavy school bag Grade 8 kids carry these days. We have to get my boy strong again!! Bradley has to be seen by a Biokineticist twice a week for the next few months. Cupcakes for Kids with Cancer has been extremely helpful and has assisted Bradley to get started with the bio. They are also helping so many other families and the kids currently getting chemo and radiation must get priority. Unfortunately Bradley needs to be seen more often by the bio as what we can afford. He currently needs to attend two sessions per week at R350 per session. Today I am pleading with my family and friends to please help assist Bradley to continue treatment with his Biokineticist so his back and body can get strong enough again to face the world and all it's challenges.

Please can you spread the word.

Kind regards
