Bottle Babies Fundraiser

The first week in July, these 4 newborn kittens (aka, Bottle Babies) were found abandoned in a backyard in North Houston.  These newborns have needed care around the clock, as they are unable to care for themselves at this young age.  Kittens are ALWAYS born underdeveloped.  They cannot see or hear for the first 10 days.  They are unable to eliminate on their own for the first 2 - 3 weeks of life.   Keeping them clean requires many loads of washing towels and washcloths.  Medical care, baby wet wipes, food, toys, blankets, etc. are needed for the kittens to survive and thrive.   We are hosting this online fundraiser to help with the costs incurred for the care of these kittens.  Any additional funds raised over and above our goal will be donated to the Foster that accepts the care for them and sees them through adopting to good homes.  The money raised will "follow" the kittens.   We reserve the right to change our goal amount based upon how long we are helping the kittens (to cover their needs and well-being), before a charity foster takes possession of them.  If we increase the goal amount, we will post an update on the kittens, and why we are raising the goal.  Currently, we have a goal amount which reflects our expectations through the end of July.  

We know that many of you are asked to donate to great causes all throughout the year.  Because of this, we have set up a rewards program, so in essence, you may recoup the cost of your donation.  Please see the section to the right, "Donated $5.00 or More" for details. 

We are not a 501(c)3 charity.  We are just people who are trying to make sure these kittens survive, thrive and find good homes.  We are currently in this position, because all of the shelters we have contacted in our area are full and do not have room for them.  In addition, we have been advised that if we do find a shelter to take them, they will likely be "put down", because they are so young and without a mother.  We DO NOT accept the notion that they will be euthanized!  At this time, the kittens are doing extremely well, and progressing excellently.  They are wobbly walking and climbing!  Even if we do not meet our donation goal, please trust that any monies raised will be of assistance and help.  We truly appreciate your consideration!
