ABOUT 26.2 FOUNDATION

26.2 Foundation is a "small organization doing very big things", aptly based in Hopkinton, MA, where the start line of the famous Boston Marathon has been since 1924. The foundation's focus is promoting the sport of marathoning, bringing immense impacts to the community in large scale as they strive to positively improve quality of life through health, wellness and economic development in Hopkinton as well as national and global levels. Historically, 26.2 Foundation has built athletic facilities for the Hopkinton High School, and since been utilized by not just every student in the Hopkinton High School but also their families.

As an outreach to a younger groups, the foundation has an ongoing collaboration with Girl Scouts to teach girls about history of marathon, value of inclusivity, hard work, nutrition, sportsmanship as well as developing friendship across the world from where the sport originated, Greece. Currently - and this is what our fundraising will contribute to, the Foundation is working on establishing the International Marathon Center – a unique institution designed to recognize runners past and present, to focus on fitness and health, and to build community and engagement through rich cultural and educational programs. A place that will honor, celebrate and inspire.

ABOUT Riana & Emma

Two very normal, not so athletically gifted girls meeting at work, with their own busy careers and families, after deciding they want to run, some crazy ideas about running marathon popped up and somehow, the idea of running the WMM started to take off in 2016, Berlin, New York, then continue to London, Chicago, Tokyo and soon Boston to wrap up our round.

Your donation will for sure benefit the community in Hopkinton, the running community and the future healthy generations of runners in every corner of the world. We thank you for your kind hearts and allowing us to experience this once in a lifetime marathon in Boston.
