Born a pilot

I’m originally from the DR Congo and I am writing this to you with the hopes of obtaining a qualification in aviation.

I have been residing in the Republic of South Africa since 2008 and have since managed to obtain 13 flying hours, but my endeavours to expand on my training have been strenuous due to financial difficulties.

I understand that a lot around me was becoming about aviation when one of my biggest inspirations became my old friend’s father, who was an aviation photographer in Ndjili international airport where I was first introduced to aeroplanes and airport operations as well as different aeroplanes and their functions. That is when i decided to follow in his footsteps but hoped to go further.

My family have had some financial issues due to the political crisis back home. I had to wait for approximately one and half year to commence with my studies. I’ve been working odd jobs for the past 4 years to put together funds for my Private Pilot License but nothing is adding up and i have thus resulted in applying for funding.
