Boonchua is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2014 and has been growing and improving ever since. The organization provides emergency medical services to people living in small rural towns outside of Chiang Khong, Chiang Rai Province, Thailand.
Without this group, the residents of this region would not have access to emergency medical response or transportation to the hospital. The program is run by local volunteers who have been trained by various individuals and organizations locally and from abroad. They have very limited access to resources and much of their medical equipment and ambulance are in need of upgrades. The organization does not have a defibrillator, which limits their abilities as an emergency response team and they need another ambulance to operate more affectively and efficiently. They could save many lives with the use of new equipment.
This nonprofit also provides support to the community through social services such as scholarships, transporting children to school and providing food for locals when possible. Boonchua is an extremely positive force in the community, working with very little resources to achieve so much. With even the smallest donation, this organization could grow and improve in many ways, please help us make this possible!
This year the project is focused on raising enough money to fund two large projects: purchasing a defibrillator and a new ambulance.
