5000 Books printed for underprivileged Creches

I first found out about a career called “Graphic Design” when I reached university, which meant I had to do a year of a course I never wanted and as a result had to drop out. Apart from the usual career paths, I was never exposed to the multitudes of career paths that were already available when I was in matric (2004).

I have always held on to the idea that a child will gravitate more towards something that is within them (talent wise), however, they need to know what that thing is very early on in their lives, that way they can start working towards learning how to effectively use that talent by the time they reach adulthood.

It is with this in mind that we started working on an illustrated Children’s book that would appeal to children from when they start learning ABC’s up until they start understanding sentences and concepts. The final product that came about is a 32-page illustrated book.

The book centres around Teaching young kids (3+ Years) about different careers while teaching them ABC’s and 123’s. We want to spark the light as early as possible in their young impressionable minds.

It is in this regard that we ask for your help. Our Objective is to see 5000 books distributed to ECD (Early Childhood Development) centres that have limited to no resources within disadvantaged communities in South Africa and we need your assistance.

The criteria to determine if a centre is deserving will be the following:

1. Centre caters to low income homes
2. Centre is located in a township
3. Centre doesn’t already have similar resources

Each ECD centre will be allocated a maximum of 50 Books (which we hope can be reused) this then means for every 1000 books printed 20 centres will benefit.

This is a long reaching project and stands to benefit more than just the first kids to receive these books. It stands to benefit a future that will have you associated with it.
