I am book fanatic. I am reading everywehere...park bench, subway, airplanes, bed, sofa, kitchen and yup...everyone is thinking it, even toilet is the place of the crime :)
I love everything about the traditional books. The smell, the way how you have to turn pages over...Don´t get me wrong, I think that e-readers, tablets and smart phones are great gadgets but they simply cannot compare to the real deal. I am very sad, when I see teenagers and young people with noses sticked to their phones. You pretty much can´t see youngsters with "old-fashioned books" anymore...
I live in Prague and I left almost 20 books around the city. On park bench, at bus stop...even on Charles Bridge :) I love how people are confused and want to know why I do it. Once I got chased because the guy thought I left the book in coffee shop and I forgot about it. When I explained myself, that I believe in sharing great stories not only via social media, you can´t even imagine, how people´s faces light up. They understand how books bring joy and inspiration to our lives and this is such an easy way, how you get to share that joy and inspiration.
However, this task is not easy and certainly it is not for free. Every book I left in the city costs apprx. 15 dollars which is around 300 dollars just on my part.
I would love to continue on this journey, but I can´t do it without your help. Please help me share this dream of mine and support me if you can.
I encourage you to do the same in your city :)
