Books for 150 learners at Midland Primary and High School

The Read & Lead Project (in partnership with Read to Rise) is raising funds for the grade 3 and 4 learners at Midland Primary and High School in Midrand. These 150 learners who will benefit from the Read to Rise class programme, each learner will receive a brand new story book to take home.

We hope to get children excited about reading. If children love to read, they will excel and go on to become good constructive members of society. It all starts with reading!

The Read & Lead Project is a non-profit organisation that promotes literacy through Reading and Learning. They want to inculcate a reading culture from a young age. Their primary target audience is from Grades R-7. They are currently running a Book Club at Bishops Square in Midrand.

Read to Rise is a non-profit organisation that promotes youth literacy in under-resourced communities in South Africa. To date, the organisation has conducted over 6,000 class programmes and given out over 560,000 new books.
