A small amount of money could have a huge impact!

I'm a Brazilian teacher and researcher, holding a master's degree in education at UNIRIO (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro State). In this march 30, I defended my dissertation, amid the coronavirus outbreak, and decided to publish the results as a book here in Brazil.

"Why only the school?" (Apenas a escola por quê?) is scheduled to launch by April 2021, and aims to find a new way to education, an alternative to school that's truly liberating, far beyond homeschooling, and even unschooling. I called this new concept Intelectual Self-sufficiency!

As I invested in this book publishing here in Brazil (around US$1200), money came short to provide for it a translation to English (about US$1500). As an English and Portuguese speaker, I decided to take the endeavor myself. By not being a professional translator, I should rely on the help of two software to ease the pain of translating 150 plus pages of a heavy philosophical text: DeepL pro (to translate with help of AI neural networks) and Grammarly pro (to help me put the text on it's best and revise it).

Only US$ 84 and US$ 139,90 to fulfill the contract for a year of both tools, plus the taxes, will provide me the two tools needed to translate a book that will gain the international level as it wins over the barriers imposed by publishing only in Portuguese.

But, if I try to pay this US$ 260 myself relying only in my short earnings in BRL, it would cost over R$1300,00 on our so devalued currency, which strikes me with the equivalent to paying US$1300,00 adjusted by the buying capabilities of my earnings here in Brazil.

That's why I decided to look forward to international supporters who could ease the loads for both sides!

Just US$ 260 goal and you may see an author and researcher to spread a whole new knowledge to a much wider public!

By hitting the goal I will work in the translation, and be able to start the hunt for a publish in English without letting the manuscript get too much older. And, of course, you will all be informed of all the progress involved!

Ready to help!?

Want to know more about my academic research, and my writing level? Just search for the article "Homeschooling in Brazil: An Overview" published in 2017 at NHERI Homeschool Researcher Journal.

I'm counting on you! =)
