Bone Marrow Transplant for Daddy Dong

Good day.

My father Mr. Armando Lanorio, 54, a Police Officer who serves the country (Philippines) for almost 28 years, is currently suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and now undergoing chemotherapy treatment at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute.

The above-mentioned blood disorder was first diagnosed in November 2015 during the conduct of Annual Physical Examination (APE) at the PNP General Hospital in Camp Crame, Quezon City. After series of blood testing, my father was recommended to undergo chemotherapy wherein the last session was concluded in July 2016. After the said procedure, his condition improved and was declared to be in a Remission from July 2016 until January 2018.

In February 2018, during his routine check-up at the same hospital, a Relapse of his illness was noticed in the results of his laboratory test. Hence, a bone marrow transplant was recommended to prevent a possible relapse in the future. However, due to high cost of the transplant procedure and the financial capacity to support the same, he opted to undergo another chemotherapy sessions, the last of which was in August 2018.

After the same treatment, my father’s health condition again was considered in a remission. Unfortunately, in August of this year, during a follow up check-up, the same blood disorder was again noticed based on the result of laboratory tests. On the basis of such findings, bone marrow transplant was strongly recommended as the best alternative to prevent another relapse.

All of his savings were already used on his previous medical expenses. And now, we are knocking on your generous hearts to help us raise funds for the transplant of my father. We thank you in advance for the help that you may be given. May the Lord our God be with you always.
