This campaign is about raising monies for a Harris County inmate who has discovered he is schizophrenic.(He hears recurring voices which lead him to harm others.), is 32 years old and is my only son. He has had mental illness symptoms for the past 22 years because of head injuries, but has been either in denial of the symptoms or refused to accept that he has this problem. He has had a stroke at the age of 13 years old, but the hospital did not say he was disabled. I believe he was, but I could not get any help for years and his only records are with Harris County Jail system. On several occasions, I have called EMS to get mental help for him only to be disappointed that the medical staff would not recognize he needs to be placed in a mental health ward. As a result, they just leave him on the premises which only hurts him because he needs immediate mental help. He has been detained since February 2016, however Harris County officials and his attorney whom I hired in April 2016 will not recognize he is schizophrenic without a C-Scan. I recently had to file a complaint against the attorney because after she took my monies, she refused to give me a receipt for the amount of monies paid to her ($2300.00) and also a contract to outline how she would handle my son's case. I also wrote a letter to the judge that will hear his case, however, she refuses to contact me or at least allow her assistant to do so. I was told by the Bail Bond company, A-Better Bail Bond, Houston, Texas that I need to make at least $30,000.00 a year and come up with $750.00 cash to bail my son out of jail. He is constantly harassed by jail staff and inmates because they recognize he has a mental issue. He was beaten up so badly and so frequently that jail staff finally moved him to another floor, however they will not transfer him to the Harris County Psychiatric Ward on Baker Street because they feel that his mental issue is not that severe. I am asking for help now because originally the bail bond personnel told me I only needed to provide my income of social security and proof of part-time employment. I have started on another job, however, the Bail bond company says that I need to have worked one year and make $30,000.00 in order to bond my son out of jail, provide a co-signer, or present the full amount of $15,000.00 to bond him out. I am being proactive regarding this matter because voices are telling my son that he does not need to support me in helping him. This makes for a more difficult situation, so I have decided to set up a campaign fund on his behalf to get him bonded out of jail and also get an attorney. I really need help to make this campaign succeed and I appreciate all donations sent to meet the goal I have set up.

Thank you in advance for your help.
