In summer 2013 our family will volunteer for the Kuzuko Foundation in South Africa, Eastern Cape.
We will help to transform an old barn into an educational conservation centre for children and young people visiting from local villages and townships. The children and young people visiting the centre in Kuzuko will learn about protecting wild animals and their natural environment, how to rehabilitate land and be educated about their impact on nature. They are given the opportunity to explore the animals in the Kuzuko Farm School and go on safari into the Addo Elephant Park.
Our task is to clear out the old Barn, decorate the inside, to develop educational materials and displays exhibits collected from nature. We have pledged to fundraise at least £1,500.
Every penny fundraised or donated will be invested into the educational conservation centre!
