Bollywood Showbiz

My name is Bhakti Shalini Ramful. I am from Mauritius. I have been working on a project named "Bollywood Showbiz" since the past five years. My background is into modelling, dance and events. I have got my training in Bollywood Dance at Kingston University, London. I came back to Mauritius a few years ago and I have been trying to launch this project in Mauritius ever since. I have invested all my savings into this project but I need $65,000 more to help me complete this project. I need your support to help me launch this project Bollywood Showbiz in Mauritius. This project counts a lot for me, my team members (students, dancers, models & crew) and family. Bollywood Showbiz is also my dream project and will definitely provide a platform for Mauritian artists.

Description of project:

Bollywood Showbiz is a musical theatre. During this event, we shall demonstrate various styles of dance such as Bollywood fusion, Bhangra, Rajasthani Dance, Kathak, Body Popping, Mexican Salsa as well as fashion shows with Indian wear and European wear as themes. The show will also consist of acts of dance, which will be like story-telling combined with dance. Furthermore, it will be a short Bollywood movie presented in a theatre format. Dhol players will also perform on stage. Some local Karaoke singers shall also perform on some lovely tracks for the audience. This project consists of four main elements:

1) Photoshoot of Bollywood Showbiz team members (First Stage of project)

2) Bollywood Showbiz Musical Theatre (Event)

3) Short Bollywood Movie

4) Music Video Shoot (Final Stage of project)

 Through this event, I wish to provide a good platform for local Mauritian artists. I intend to encourage local artists to show their talent and motivate them to maintain their passion in media. Bollywood Showbiz can give them an international platform. We intend to release the music video in local Mont Ida cinemas, that is, Novelty, Mont Cine Trianon and Mont Cine Flacq cinemas. An approval has already been obtained by the owner of Mont Ida Films. The music video will be released in those cinemas for one month. We also intend to release the music video in Bafta (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) and London Film Festival. We also intend to convert the short film presented in a theatre format back to a proper movie which will be shot in Mauritius.

 The participants shall have the opportunity to take part in our upcoming music video and other projects such as the short Bollywood movie. Bollywood Showbiz will be a life changing opportunity for all the participants. Each of them will be awarded a trophy and certificate by my company Total Media Ltd. The music video will be their first assignment.
