Boise Bound

As many of you know, Aaron, Luna and I are officially moving to Idaho to find new adventures! Although we love all that Oregon has to offer and we have a lot of loved ones here, it just no longer feels like home and the cost of living has slowly been pushing us out. And don't get us started about the traffic. 🙄

I have lived in the same place my whole life, and really want the chance to explore something new and see what else this world has to offer. I'm super grateful to be at a job that makes the transition over to a new state so much easier and Aaron's already packed up his essentials and started his new job in our new state. (Which neither of us have been super excited about being apart, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right?)

We look forward to what the future holds for us and feel like this is the step in the right direction to get ourselves back to living again instead of just surviving.

Although this year has been a great one, it has also been one of the toughest. We got a two bedroom apartment that, unexpectedly, only had one room occupied for a few months. Thankfully, Aaron's brother was in the right situation to be able to move in with us and take off some of the excess rent burden, but we still felt the effects. We then had another unexpected debt come up with applying to our new place and had to take care of it before being able to move forward, and hit a few more bumps in the road shortly after.

I have been really pushing to get my health on track and get answers to some nearly life-long issues. I've had my blood drawn more times than I've ever wanted, been on too many medications that only caused more problems and, "worst", have had to cut out a lot of foods I enjoy. RIP bananas. :'( It's been a long and frustrating road and I am still traveling it, but little by little I have had some light shed on why I deal with certain things in my day to day. I also had the joy of getting my wisdom teeth taken out recently and still dealing with the fun after care of that. Although I have had some help with all these things (insurance offers very little of it) I have come out of pocket a lot more than I ever expected to.

I have never liked asking for help, and have rarely done so since I've been on my own, but I've reached the point where I'm needing some. We are wanting this move to be a positive one and the more things we have done to make that reality, the more stressed we have gotten with the moving and surprise expenses. Lovely Luna also decided to chew a hole through our carpet the month before moving as well so we aren't counting on our deposit back anymore. She's still cute though...

Any little bit helps and is beyond appreciated by all of us. Anyone that asks what I'm wanting for my birthday this year, this is it. I want to be able to feel financially secure on our new adventures and to be able to feed my friends and family when they come to visit! Please share and thank you for taking the time to read this.
