Bob is a 3 year old Mastiff cross Staffordshire Terrier, who found himself in a rescue centre at age 1 1/2, due to his size and water and people phobias, however his and our life changed when we found him 6 months later. On returning home with us over the next few months Bob developed allergies and skin problems which resulted in inching that there was just not a scratch that could cure. Bob is now a completely different dog, is fully trained, has overcome his issue with unknown people and their contact and although he still has an above average interest in water he will now allow you to wash and shower him and only gives a second glance to running hose pipes. Bobs allergies and skin issues however require continual treatment and ongoing care, with regular twice daily medication at an above normal recommended manufacturer rate issued by the vets due to the severity of his condition. These are then added to regular injections of a treatment that is specially manufactured in Holland to aid his condition treatment. All in all this amounts to £hundreds of pounds on a monthly basis and thousands over a yearly period. This is a lifetime condition, and with a recent change in our financial situation and the addition to our family Bobs costs are become unmanageable. That said with the work and bonds that have been formed and the amazing dog that Bob has become we do not want to let him go, especially as his chances of finding another home with all of these expensive conditions is extremely unlikely. So we are looking for help towards his ongoing treatment.
