Campaign Story
When I rescued Bobbie a few months ago, it was and still is my goal to make her as happy and comfortable as possible. She had been abondoned at a pet hotel and left in a 6x8 concrete room with no toys, bed, blankets, etc. She was over fed and under stimulated so her pre-existing reactivity grew worse. With a trainer, we learned that she almost definitely has issues with her knees that may be contributing to her reactivity as well. The vet will be sedating her and taking x-rays to see what is wrong with her legs. The estimate for this is already $600 and any further treatment will likely be even more expensive. Any amount you can give will help make sure my baby is happy, healthy, and comfortable while still allowing me to keep the roof over our head! I will keep this updated with what the results are and what procedures will be needed.

the vet performed a reverse lateral suture on bobbie today. her injury-turns out it’s not a cranial cruciate tear- is “very uncommon” so we are hoping that this will help, but we are playing it all by ear. the procedure today was $2100 and the rest of the donations have

Update posted by Lucas Daus at 02:47 amI was able to find a clinic outside of the city that will do the surgery for much cheaper!!! It’s still around $3500 so any donations are still greatly appreciated. The surgery is on August 29th :)

The procedure for her size will be around $6k, so I am applying for care credit and also for grants from nonprofits, but we can still use all the help we

The princess is slowly waking up from her sedation!! The vet discovered what is most likely an old ACL injury. I will be taking her to an orthopedic specialist for a consultation in a week and I’ll know what treatment she needs afterwards!
