Campaign Story
The damage that the typhoon has brought Sipalay City is severe. The latest update from the LGU is 12 deaths and 30 who are still missing. They badly need water and food. If anyone knows anyone who can help with sending out supplies on the ground, these people need help too:
We are not Siargao, Bohol, and not even Cebu; this may sound demanding, but, we are from NEGROS OCCIDENTAL and we also need help.
You might not be familiar with our location because only the provinces of Ilo-ilo, Leyte and Cebu are well-known across the country but Sipalay City is a beautiful city with a world class white sand beach destination.
#OdettePH landed on our two cities, KABANKALAN and SIPALAY, and literally devastated ALL our towns.
I WOULD LIKE TO EMPHASIZE the NEED for assistance in the SOUTHERN PART OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL , which includes: CHICKS
C- candoni
H- hinobaan
I-ilog
C-cauyan
K-kabankalan
S- sipalay
We only have a limited amount of resources. We need food, water, and clothing. Because certain stores were impacted by the typhoon, our resources are currently limited.
According to the information gathered, most coastal homes have been destroyed, leaving residents without food, clothing, or shelter.
You may NOT RECOGNIZE us, but WE'RE HERE in need of help physically, emotionally, and spiritually — perhaps, financially.
We want to say BANGON NEGROS (RISE UP NEGROS) but we cannot do it on our own. Not at this time. We will very soon, but until then we need you. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET UP, we need your help while we're on our lowest, WE need your help and we need it most this time.
And yes, WE EXIST
We are lucky to celebrate the Christmas season with a roof above our heads and most especially with our LOVED ONES.
