Updates on Help Daisy Beat Cancer

Update posted by Anna Goy On Nov 30, 2021

Daisy has had four weekly chemotherapy sessions so far, and is doing well. The tumor has reduced a lot, but we still have two or three more sessions to go before she is cancer free. Her weight has shot up from 4.1 kilos to 5 kilos, and she is full of energy. Her favourite pastime is chasing the local sheep. Last week she chased them into the river, and came back covered in disgusting river slime.. looking very proud of herself. I've learnt my lesson, and now keep her on a lead. The poor shepherd panics whenever he sees us.

We received some good news from the vet today. Daisy's blood test came back fine, and she can start her chemotherapy this Saturday 30 October. She also put on 300 grams in weight!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated. We have reached the target and can start Daisy's treatment as soon as she is healthy enough. I am grinning from ear to ear! We are going to the vets this Saturday to check her weight, and to do a blood test to make sure she is healthy enough to start her chemotherapy. If all goes well, her first session will be on Saturday 30 October, and then weekly after that. We urgently want to get started as soon as possible, as there is a lot of bleeding from her tumor, and it must be very painful for her. Fingers crossed we will get good news this Saturday.

Thank you to all of you who cared enough to share or donate, and to make this happen.
