Bahrain is in the Middle East and is a very harsh place to live for the thousands of stray animals there, with soaring hot temperatures, lack of food/water/shade, and a generally 'unaccepting to animals' human population.

Grandpa Bear was found next to a dry and busy market area and taken in for Trap Neuter Release. But we quickly discovered his age and severe medical condition and realised he wouldn't survive back on the streets. Bear is a 10 year old senior cat, is FIV+, has only 5 good teeth remaining and has early stage renal failure because of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). It's very common in Bahrain due to the lack of water in a cats diet, especially for the strays.

Due to his health condition sadly we were finding it extremely difficult to find a home for him in Bahrain. But lucky for Bear, an amazing cat sanctuary in the UK has offered him a home where he will receive all the medical attention and love that he needs and deserves in his final years.

Bear is a complete sweetheart who wants nothing more than love. He deserves a chance to a better life after all that he has been through. Do you think so too and would you like to help Bear? Here’s what you can do!

1. Donate - towards his travel expense. I attach the quotation from our preferred pet relocator, Jetpet Global. The quotation is for 7-8 cats (Bear being one of them). Our target has to be reached by the first week of May which is his proposed travel date.

Any amount big or small is highly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts if you decide to donate, Bear will be forever grateful. xx

2. Share - as well as/or instead of donating please could you share Bear's fundraising campaign to as many people as you can. We do as much as we can in Bahrain, but it's a small country and only a few of us are rescuing and/or donating.

We would like to thank:

- Rescat - the cat charity in Bahrain for agreeing to help us with Bear, and to

- Jetpet Global for handle the logistics of his travel.

It really does take a village!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts if you decide to donate and/or share, Bear will be forever grateful. xx
