Please Help Twins Kaylee and Kayla Survive

Message from the Father of the Twins:

Please help my daughters Kaylee and Kayla with their Medical Bills.

My wife and myself had been working in Singapore for more than 10 years. I work in an IT company and my wife work as a nurse at the hospital here in Singapore, and we are both from Philippines.

We were trying to conceive for a long time, and finally, God answer our prayers.

When we found out we were having babies, it was a joyous occasion for us, and our intention is to go home to Philippines to give birth as we know the medical bills here in Singapore is expensive, especially if you’re a foreigner, holding S Pass.

On March 12, 2021, our twins were delivered via emergency Caesarean Section in view of my wife’s active early labour contractions and bulging of uterine membrane. Doctor advised us that our babies need to be delivered as soon as possible to prevent them from fetal distress.

Both Kaylee and Kayla was born premature (26 weeks) and they are currently confined at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - KK Women's and Children's Hospital Singapore.

As I have spoken to the staff of KK hospital business office, she informed that we are not entitled for any subsidies since I and my wife are both non-resident. To my surprise, the estimated bill will cost SGD$234,705 to SGD$269,107 for each of our twins. Our twins are required to stay in NICU for approximately 104 days since they were born at 26 weeks.

The estimated bill that was quoted to us was really shocking, and the hospital asked us to prepare around $500,000 for both Kaylee and Kayla medical bills.

March 15, my wife was finally discharged but our twins still have a long way to stay in NICU for greater chance of survival. On that same day, doctors noticed our first twin was having very bloated and shiny abdomen. X-ray done; they found out our baby had intestinal perforation and needs immediate surgery to prevent further complications.

Surgical repair was done on the hole of her small intestine. She has to be intubated before surgery and few more days/weeks until she can freely breath on her own normally.

Thank God our first twin is now currently recovering from the surgery and our second twin is stable as well.

Do kindly give our twins a chance and a shot in life, they need a lot of care and time for them to grow up since they are both born premature.
