Campaign Story
Please save my mother, Ng Sing Yeang, by her son.
I am Toh Chin Hong, the only son of Ng Sing Yeang. My mother was born in Taiping, a small town in Malaysia.
Growing up, mom didn't have much. She worked hard for over 40 years, building some small savings for herself.
It would have been enough, had it not for the unfair life blow that is cancer. In 1 January 2021, she was rushed to the hospital with breathing difficulties.
She recovered quickly and was discharged, pending a CT scan. After that, her world and mine were destroyed. She had masses in her Thyroid and it was malignant.
Further testings showed it to be in stage 4 and a rare type of cancer. A wholly undeserved fate for a woman who has without any illness until that point.
She doesn't smoke, drink or eat excessively. All the while, she never had diabetes or hypertension. Developing hypertension after a terrible misdiagnosis by a government clinic that proved costly.
It became a type of highly rare Thyroid cancer that only make up of 1% of all cases.
The potential life prolonging treatments costs at least RM300,000 and a small town woman cannot afford it, neither can I.
Still, she said, I will fight it and do whatever I can.
I humbly, on my knees, beg you to please help save my mother. She is a wonderful woman who has live kindly and lovingly to everyone in her small town.
Please save her.

My Mother & I
Update posted by Chin Hong Toh at 08:00 amPlease help share. This is my mother. Ng Sing Yeang. She is 73 this year and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Thyroid Cancer. Initially, according to government run Klinik Kesihatan, she had hyperthyroidism. The brilliant doctors there merely prescribed her with meds and never considered other conditions that could arise. . . . .
