Help me raise the funds for my cancer treatment - radiation therapy, hormone therapy, required tests and specialist consultations.

October 2019 I was diagnosed with breast cancer - ductal carcinoma in my right breast. This diagnosis shocked me to my core but my survival instinct is strong! I started the fight for my life and my friends and I set a fundraising project of monumental proportions into motion. As a private patient with no medical aid, I have to raise every single sent to pay for every procedure.

State hospitals in South Africa are under tremendous pressure - overcrowded, underfunded, understaffed and low on medical supplies. At a state hospital I was told that I immediately needed to have a mastectomy. Standard procedure.

Fortunately I was referred to a very open-minded and highly qualified private oncologist. Dr. Maria Coccia-Portugal specializes in breast cancer oncology. She told me that the cure for breast cancer begins with treatment specific to the nature of the tumor, healthy food, mental wellbeing and exercise. My tumor was hormone driven but not aggressive, which meant my cancer treatment could be started with hormone therapy. This treatment blocked the production of estrogen and forced me into early menopause with full-blown menopausal symptoms. Starved of food (estrogen) the tumor shrunk to half its size in 12 months, small enough to consider a lumpectomy (surgery to remove the tumor). A private surgeon was consulted and I was booked for surgery.

November 2020, I underwent surgery to remove the tumor and two lymph nodes. One lymph node tested positive for cancer. December 2020 I started chemotherapy with dr. Maria.

I changed my lifestyle to better equip myself for the fight to save my life. I cut out sugar and processed foods. I have started eliminating the chemicals that we poison our bodies with...hair colour, deodorant, body lotion, shampoos & conditioner, toothpaste, cleaning products, aerosols, poisons, etc. and am systematically replacing them with a healthier natural solution – dōTERRA essential oils and natural personal care products.
