Campaign Story
I am a freelance journalist based in Malawi, reporting on climate change, agriculture, environment, rural livelihoods and anything. Most of my work is published by online news platforms which means quality pictures are an integral element of my submissions. Below are links to some of my previous work:

However, I don't have a high quality camera which has made me to miss some income making opportunities.
It is for this reason that I thought of acquiring a professional camera so as to add value to my work as a freelance journalist in a competitive market. However, a market survey I made discovered that their prices are beyond my reach hence my idea to crowd fundraise.
When you are donating your hard earned money to my cause, be assured that you will be impacting on various people's lives through the work I will do using the professional camera you will assist me to acquire. Thank you for reading my campaign and if you cannot donate, please at least share with family and friends.
The campaign has been on going for three months now and we reached the initial target of $800 and we ordered the camera. However, the shipping costs from Canada where we ordered the camera to Malawi are more than what we initially planned for. In addition to that, we also learnt of other additional import taxes we never expected which has made us to adjust the fundraising goal to $1280. So I am appealing for additional $210 for import taxes so that my camera does not get confiscated by the tax authorities. This is my last appeal to all backers and supporters.
