Mommy Myrna’s Medical Expenses

Last November, Mom was hospitalized for 12 days. As by the Doctors diagnosis, she had Post Covid-Severe Pneumonia. But by God’s grace and mercy, she was discharged out of the hospital at the end of that same month.

We rushed her back to the hospital on February 3rd due to chest pain, hard breathing, both legs bloated and with excess fluid in the body. The physician handling her case diagnosed her with heart failure and Mom will be needing an immediate 2D Echo Test (Cardiac Ultrasound) tomorrow, February 5th and a Thoracentesis procedure (pasuyopan tubig ang baga).

In less than 24 hours upon admission, the bill now runs at P 103,000.00 besides the upcoming 2D Echo Test and Thoracentesis procedure tomorrow, and it is anticipated that the bill will go higher with continued stay in the hospital.

Due to the economic damage done to people by this pandemic, we honestly felt hesitant at first, but the necessity demands us to humbly submit our case to the knowledge of concerned and still financially blessed individuals and loved ones.
