Hello!

Knocking on your kind hearts!

My wife, Shaunnee, and I need your help to get home to Cagayan de Oro City before the holidays.

We are trying to raise funds as we have both stopped working to take care of our newborn, Nin.

My wife and I are artists currently living in Cebu City, a boat ride away from our hometown, Cagayan de Oro.

I am a graphic designer earning through contest-style projects and short-term projects online.

While Shaunnee works part-time online while balancing a career in the performing arts. She auditions and does commercial, theatre, and film projects that were based mostly in Manila and here in Cebu until COVID19 stopped everything.

Last March 2020, we were excited to find out that after 12 years of waiting, we are expecting and although we decided to go back home, we got caught in the lockdown of cities due to the pandemic. Travel was stopped. We got stuck in the studio we rented in the middle of the city.

Not only that, more than 50% of projects were stopped both in my industry and my wife’s.

But, rent continued. Checkups continued. And, we also continued to try to provide for our needs at home. We coped and maxed our sources.

By the time the lockdown was lifted, my wife was no longer allowed by her obgyne to travel (at 28 weeks beyond). So, we decided to have the baby here in Cebu which we did.

Although it is relatively more expensive to deliver a baby here compared to our hometown, we were happy that we got to pay our hospital bill with the money we came up, baby is strong, and my wife is recuperating physically.

Unfortunately, we cannot say the same about our financial status after. We are in debt and need help.

We have decided to go home as taking care of the baby has led us to sleepless nights and no-work days.

We are looking for ways to come up with the money to be able to pay our landlady, pay utilities, buy food, to buy our needs at home including for our newborn, and to travel back to our hometown.

My wife and I have sold some pre-loved items thru Facebook to our friends and have come up with an amount but, it is still short. Not to mention our maxed out credit card that we also need to cover.

This is why I decided to create this, hoping to reach out for more help.

We promise to update the amount with what we have raised offline as well.

We thank you all who consider to help us out.
