Marble’s Third Life: Conquering Pyometra

Our good girl’s life is threatened by pyometra and needs surgery ASAP. Early this year, she suffered bacterial infection that already cost us around Php10,000. During the COVID lockdown, she became bone-thin, enduring seizures and nosebleeds. But Marble is a fighter. She recovered and our family sees this as her second chance at life.

After a few months, she started peeing with blood and pus discharge. Her vet diagnosed her with pyometra and for the meantime was given antibiotics to manage the infection. I can’t save for her surgery at such short notice with the cost of her previous treatments and my current work conditions (reduced pay due to pandemic). Marble is again fighting for her life – but with your help, she need not fight alone.

Her vet estimated that the total cost of surgery with medications is at Php10,520 (around $219). But we need your help to shoulder other expenses too. I am raising Php11,500 ($238) to cover costs for the following:

• Surgery @ Php9000 ($187)
• Post-surgery care @ Php 1,500 ($31) - This covers painkillers, antibiotics, and e-collar
• Transportation @ Php 1,000 ($20) - We do not have a car, and especially with quarantine restrictions, will need to rent one to bring and pick her up to and from the vet.
