Help a Dad to live and see miracles in Life
Deuteronomy 31:6
6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Last year has been a trying time. Dad has episodes of hematochezia with associated body weakness and weight loss. Consultation and other diagnostic laboratory requirements were facilitated.
He was diagnosed with Rectal cancer last November 2019 but he refused medical management due to financial incapacity. Check-up and consultation with different doctors were done as an alternative course. March 2020, the pandemic came. June 2020, one doctor advised him to have a scheduled CT scan. July 2020, there was a difficulty to arrange a check-up appointment and laboratory because of the current situation and his comorbidity status.
He was admitted at Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital On August 24, 2020. Initial diagnosis includes the progression of weight loss, body weakness, no appetite to eat, and stomach bloating. It was shown in his CT scan that there is intestinal obstruction, sigmoid new-growth with hepatic, pulmonary, and bone metastasis.
Colostomy surgery was done after two days to let him have a chance to fight his real disease, cancer. After seven days, he was discharged from the hospital. Right now, he is having several doses of chemotherapy and supplement.
