Help Harfid battle with Cancer stage 4

Dear donors,

On August 21 2020, Harfid was diagnosed with Kidney cancer stage 4. When the diagnosis was given to him, it was an emotional and difficult time for him.

The growth of the cancerous tumour did not only affect his right kidney, the aggresive cancer cells have spreaded to his blood vessels and a part of his heart. As his cancer was at the advanced stage, other major organs were also affected as there were blood clots in his liver and lungs.

Harfid was scheduled for a major operation where surgeons from different specialities have to come together to remove the cancerous tumour in his internal organs (right kidney, vena cava and part of his heart). The 16 hours extensive operation included a heart bypass. The major operation left him with long surgical scars, a hole in his heart and only his left kidney to support him.

The best father his 6 children could have, Harfid yearns to see his children again as he has been in the hospital for a period of time and is not able to see and hold them. He frequently worries for the wellbeing and future of his children with his current state. All his children is under the age of 10.

Harfid is currently undergoing treatment after the major operation as there were a few complications that occurred after the operations. He is having surgical site infection and was found to have fluid in his lungs. He also has chyle leakage from his internal organs and had a few insertions near his abdominal, right renal and lungs to drain fluid out.

Harfid requires extensive rehabilitation and therefore likely not able to get back to work soon.

As with all patients that have terminal illness, he desperately wants to lead a healthy normal life again. With your help, Harfid will never give up and will fight till the end.
