Campaign Story
This fundraiser is to help my siblings and I manage the costs needed to help our parents.
First would be my mother, Marites, on the morning of July 31 she was watching TV when she found herself too weak to stand up. Unable to respond when called upon, she was rushed to the hospital. She was pronounced dead on arrival when we got to St Lukes and it was later diagnosed to be a combination of stroke and hypertension induced by being Covid-19 positive. This was also the first time we’ve learned of her condition as everything happened too quickly. She has, since then, been cremated and been laid to rest.
Not even a week after her passing, our father, Alberto, was rushed to the same hospital on August 04 at 5:30 in morning after having difficulty breathing. Shortly after admittance to ER, he suffers a heart attack. He then was later diagnosed to be having pneumonia induced by being Covid-19 positive. Our dad was deemed to be in a critical state and thus stabilized and left intubated in the ER as there was no more room in the ICU.
In the coming weeks though his condition has been improving. He is currently in the ICU, undergoing dialysis, had tracheostomy (due to difficulty breathing by being more than 18 days intubated) and, more importantly, was tested Covid negative.
However, with nearing a month in the ICU and having multiple operations done to stabilize and treat my father’s condition, we are left with a running bill amounting to around ₱3.2M.
While we will exhaust all available options when it comes to relieving that amount, it is still too high for a family with a retired father and only two siblings working. We must now humble ourselves and ask for financial support.
Any amount you can give will be of great help.
For our friends and family in the Philippines, you may also send donations to our bank accounts. Please just add a note "For Alberto":

Sir Albert was my supervisor at ATEC when I just started working in 1999. I will be forever grateful for his guidance and patience. He is humble and has a good heart. May God Bless him and the entire family.
