Help Save This Kitty From Losing His Eyes

This cat is about 8-9 months old and has been through a lot very early in his life. About 2 months ago, I found him on the street and his eyes were cloudy. I took him to the vet and he had a cold and some fever. The vet thought that it was the cause of the cloudy eyes. I kept him at the vet clinic for over a week for treatment. After I got him out, his eyes looked a bit better, but still cloudy. He was back on the street and I gave him food and eye drops every day.

However, the eye drops did not seem to work and his eyes got worse unfortunately and now he is unable to see at all. My neighbors and I took him to a different vet today, and the vet said that he would need to run some blood tests, and that he might need to send him to a specialized eye doctors for cats, where he will most probably have an eye surgery since he suspects it might be a cataract. The blood tests alone will amount to around $150.

The cat is very weak, doesn't play, hardly goes out of his hiding and is scared all the time, mainly because he can't see. He eats very little and looks sad and down all the time. We left him at the vet clinic and he will stay there for a couple of days until we gather the money to take him for surgery.
