Stephen Henwood Medical Expenses

(Please note Steve did not ask us to set up this page, it never crossed his mind to ask people for financial help, he is way too proud to do that!)

Steve has inoperable liver cancer and is undergoing extremely expensive Keytruda immunotherapy .

The cost is over R80,000 per treatment. He will have 6 treatments initially, possibly up to 12.

That's a total cost of up to R1 million! Steve's medical aid has refused to cover the cost and, to make matters worse, Steve was recently made redundant.

This page has been set up by Steve's friends to help raise funds to cover the cost of his medical treament.

The last thing anyone wants is Steve to have huge financial stress while he is trying to stay strong and focused and beat this horrible disease.

I am a single Dad to an incredible 12 year old boy, Liam. I love spending quality time with my son doing a lot of outdoor pursuits and fun things.

I was recently retrenched in April and then found out that I had metastatic melanoma of the liver. So far it is contained. The only treatment that can help me survive this cancer is Keytruda Immunotherapy which is VERY expensive per treatment. I have to have the treatment every 3 weeks!

I have the right attitude, right focus and believe I can beat this. I just need some help with some funding as unfortunately I have no income and very little financial resources.

My goal is to beat this and see my darling son grow up to be an amazing young man who I can continue to go on adventures with and see reach his best.
