Campaign Story
Some communities here in Kenya have limited access to water and some people are forced to walk to as far as 5 kilometers for clean water source .
I am Quincy Didier Wasike and I have set up this campaign to fund the renovation of the Samia community water project serving Wangira Ndaba village whose springs have run into ruins as a result of delapidation. This dying spring is found in Busia county
This project has been greatly necessitated by the Corona virus pandemic which requires clean water as a weapon in it's fight. Unfortunately for this community, clean water is so scarce as they are forced to wait on rain water or travel to nearby springs which are far away.
Growingg up, there were a lot of things I took for granted. I lived in a bubble for the majority of my childhood and adolescence, and it wasn’t until college when my eyes were finally opened. During my freshman year, I learned about international organizations that focused on community service, humanitarian aid, and compassionate relief. This changed my perspective, and allowed me to see what was happening throughout the rest of the world.
Earthquakes. Hurricanes. Forest fires. Flooding.Hunger. All across Africa – and around the world – there are thousands of people being affected by natural disasters. People have lost their possessions, homes, and even their lives because of these catastrophes that are happening every single day.
No matter how close or far I am to a disaster site, there is always something I can do to impact the greater community. The world is so much bigger than just my own personal bubble, and there are people that need help right now.
We have so much to be grateful for, and it is our duty to share the blessings that have been given to us. No effort is too trivial or insignificant, and everyone can do their part to help. It is never too late to do something for the community
Your contribution to this campaign is highly appreciated and all people donating will be listed on community hero's list and My website unless they choose not to . Thanks in advance 😊
