Campaign Story
Good day to everyone!
This my first time to do this and I don’t know if I’m doing it right. English is not my first language so you might find my message confusing. My goal is to seek help for my father who is currently in the hospital and suffering from broken hip and bedsores.
Way back in 1985, my father was hospitalized due multiple stab wounds caused by a robber. He survived but half of his body got paralyzed. He can't move his left arm and leg. He can still walk but it is not the same way like it was. His movement is limited but he can manage to cook, bath and wash his clothes by himself. He can't speak and it's difficult to understand what he is trying to say.. Since then his daily routine is to take care of himself. He prefer to do things alone. He decided to live near his brother's place where he grew up. We barely see each other because I live in the province.
Last May 26, 2020, I got a call from my cousin. It’s about my Father. He fell of the ground and got hurt. It looks like his leg is broken but we are not sure. He cant get up, cant even sit, he's bedridden. The pain is killing him every time we move him. Due to existing Pandemic and limited finance, it took time for us to decide to bring him to the hospital. Everyday his situation is getting worst. Bedsores are getting bigger and deeper. We had no choice but to seek a doctor.
On June 03 we decided to bring him to the hospital for check up. As expected, his x-ray result shows broken bone on right hip. It needs a surgery. The Doctor said his bedsores need to be treated first before replacing the broken bone to prevent infection. I asked the Doctor a direct question. How much will it cost?
The Doctor gave me an estimated amount that I need to prepare. An ammount equivalent to my 1 year salary. Where am i going to get this money? I don't have savings.
I immediately contacted my relatives for financial assistance. I received an amount enough for admission fee. It was a big help. My problem now is where am I going to get at least P150,000? My earnings is just enough for my family, for everyday expenses and monthly bills. Now I cant go to work because I have to be there in the hospital with him.
I have have to find a way to fund his hospital needs. Somebody told me about this site gogetfunding.com can help. So here I am begging your kindness. Please help me and fund my Father's hospital needs. I would really appreciate every penny you can donate.
