Robyn’s Firstborn Home Birth

Amid COVID-19, my sister Robyn is expecting her first child, to be born around ‪June 16th.‬ As of 31 May, birth companions are no longer allowed in the Labour Ward or in Theatre of government hospitals.

This being the case, we are now proceeding with a home birth, whereby Robyn will not be alone and will receive the much needed love, encouragement and support. We’d love nothing more than to bring this new little being into the world, in the sacred space of our home, and would love your support in raising money to fund her home birth with a midwife.

To bring my wish to fruition, for a peaceful home birth for my sister, I deeply hope that you can support this campaign, helping us to raise R10 000. Our home is where I feel that Robyn will be empowered and strong, to follow her intuition, giving birth in a peaceful and joyful environment.

My heart and soul calls for bringing this new life to the world, in a comfortable and safe space, free from fears, distractions, restrictions, strangers, machines, fluorescent lights, multi-resistant bacteria and other diseases breeding in hospitals.

I believe in my sister, her body's wisdom and her midwife, to help giving birth to her first baby.

We understand that many are facing financial challenges, and we fully understand if you are unable to make a financial contribution.
