Blue Ribbon Dive Resort have been together as a team since 2011. Due to the Coronavirus, obviously we have had to shut down. Before this we had the Taal Volcano, Jon had some surgery, and we have a boat destroyed in a Typhoon last December. All of this has left not enough money to keep us fed for the coming months.
We don't know how long this is going to last, but we are pretty sure that it is till the end of the year at least if we are lucky we could open by next season.
We are aiming to get around 1000-2000 USD a month, to try and keep us all fed. Everything helps, food in the Philippines is not that expensive. 100 USD would maybe feed one staff member for a month.
The government has helped a bit by providing 5000 pesos to our staff, but this was a one-time payment and more won't be coming it seems. The kitchen staff and Jon and Becca are going to try and start a food delivery service in Batangas City in the meantime to help generate money for the bills, but this will not be able to support everyone.
