Help Supergirl Khyze’s battle vs Cancer

Maria Ericka "Khyze" Tomas is a filipina cosplayer who advocates "Causeplaying", which means taking the hobby of cosplaying to a higher purpose. She, dressed as Supergirl, together with her friends frequently visits sick kids in hospitals to convey the positive messages thought to us by our favorite superheroes and anime characters. She believes that thru this, they are given strength and hope to overcome their disease. Cosplayers are after all, real life superheroes in the eyes of a child.

Last January 2020, Khyze experienced continuous pain in her head. What we though was an ordinary migraine turned out to be brain tumor. Immediate surgery was done. Thankfully, with prayers and assistance from our friends, operation was done and the tumor was successfully removed. But our trial didn't stop there.

Biopsy indicated that the tumor was malignant. Pathology shows that the cancer originated from another part of her body. But by this time she was experiencing another continuous pain in her stomach. By the 2nd week of March 2020, another emergency surgery was needed. This time to remove a tumor in her small intestine.

Our ever brave Khyze finished another successful operation. This just roughly 2 months after her last one. She is always in high spirits and has a positive outlook in life.

She is now set to undergo chemotherapy sessions to treat the tumors found in her lungs and liver.

Sadly, the expenses we incurred in her surgeries took a great toll in our family's finances. That is why we are creating this campaign seeking your support to help us with her treatment. Khyze is determined to fight, recover and be healthy once again. But as most of you know, cancer medications and laboratory tests are quite expensive. We do not have so much left.

We will be extremely greatful for any assistance that you may give to us, no matter how big or small. We will use the much needed donations for her current medications and medical funds for her upcoming chemotherapy sessions.
