We, ex-colleagues of Marika Laciste (together with Laciste family), are knocking on your doors to help support our friend, our family, in this challenging time.
Her dad, Mr. Ricardo a.k.a. "Edong" Laciste, 65 yrs old, suffered stroke and rushed to the emergency room then ICU yesterday morning, April 21, 2020. He is currently admitted in Medical City which is the the only hospital able to to accept them. To make things worse, he is tagged as PUI (which we firmly believe this is not Covid19).
This incident is the 6th stroke in 11 years, possibly caused by DVT or deep vein thrombosis and irregular heartbeat. He has been fighting. They have been fighting. But this is the biggest stroke so far affecting right and now the left side of his brain as well. Up to now he is still unresponsive unless pain is inflicted by the doctors.
They have no options to transfer her dad right now given the critical condition advised by doctor with very limited to no available rooms in other hospitals at a lower cost.
Running bill as of April. 21, 2020 is amounting to Php 250,000 +++ already excluding professional fee of doctors. Succeeding estimate of hospital bill (ICU room, medicines, admission fees) after Apr. 21 is Php 40,000-80,000 a day (excludes professional fees). There is no guarantee yet until when her dad has to stay in the ICU but it could be weeks longer.
